about the project
Love for my hometown Passau, love for exceptionally designed posters and love for good typography encouraged this project: from September 2016 onward I created one poster every week for a special cultural event in and around Passau; and I did this for a whole year: 52 “Passau Posters” were the result! I followed one rule only: no colours, no pictures. On the one hand I wanted to explore limits: what amazes the observer and yet is still readable? On the other hand I wanted to show what a strictly typographical design is able to do; and believe me: it’s a lot!
